We recently had the honor of photographing Alicia and Doan’s wedding in Wichita, Kansas.
Despite being a long day with 100 degree temperatures, Alicia and Doan’s wedding turned out spectacularly! It started off with a traditional tea ceremony, followed by a western ceremony at the Church of the Magdalen. The night ended at Abode Venue, with the design and decorations done beautifully by friends and family.
What made this wedding even more special for me personally was a conversation I had with Hien back in 2011. I remember telling him that even with all the places on our travel schedule, it’s highly unlikely that we’d be hired to do a wedding in the Midwest. And then less than a year later, we end up flying right smack into the middle of the country! Thank you so much to Alicia and Doan and their family for showing such wonderful midwestern hospitality!
